LMS Warns of Extreme Rainfall and Agricultural Risks Ahead of 2025 Rainy Season
Monrovia, June 23, 2025 – The Ministry of Transport’s Meteorology Division, the Liberia Meteorological Service, has issued a detailed seasonal weather outlook, forecasting extreme rainfall across central and southeastern Liberia through September 2025. Forecaster Steven Jones highlighted that while the rainy season will begin normally in northern, southwestern, and western regions, counties such as Gbarpolu and Lofa are expected to see below-average rainfall during June to August.
