Agrometeorological expert James Leviticus Kollie warned of serious implications for agriculture, including shortened cropping cycles, heightened risks of crop and livestock diseases, and increased flood hazards that could jeopardize food security and livelihoods. He urged farmers to adjust planting schedules, select early-maturing crops, cultivate resilient varieties, and relocate livestock to safer areas. Enhanced disease surveillance and alerts will be critical to mitigating these impacts.
