On going thunderstorm with frequent lightning has been detected over Western, Southern, Central and Southeast of Liberia. Conditions may intensify over the next few hours.

Residents are asked to immediately seek shelter indoors, avoid open fields, tall trees, rooftops, and metal structures. Unplug electrical appliances to protect them from power surges. If you are driving, slow down, turn on headlights, and avoid flooded roads. Stay away from windows and avoid using wired electronics during the storm. If you are outdoors and cannot find shelter, crouch low, feet together, and minimise contact with the ground. Do not lie flat.
